We have had Llamas since 2001. Luckily, we have never had an issue with predators in our pastures. I wish
I could say the same for our "used" to be free ranged chickens. The Llamas are very much like cats. if you come
up to them to pet, they don't come. If you ignore them, they walk right up. the llamas are not intimidated by
dogs. Instead of running away, they run to! we have 6 llamas and they are willing to team up against whichever
predator wants to try it!!! We treat our llamas the same as the goats as it is related to feed, worming, and environment.
The only difference is that we shear once a year and this is when we trim their feet and do annual vacinations. They
are lots of fun and visitors love coming by to see what those "camel looking things" are.
